ABOUT ME
A Story of Resilience
I am a Mechatronics and Robotics Engineer specializing in Medical Robotics, Intelligent Monitoring Systems, and Safety-Critical Engineering Infrastructure. My work integrates embedded systems, IoT architectures, machine learning, and hardware design to advance healthcare technology and enhance the reliability of large-scale transportation systems.
I hold a Master of Science in Mechatronics and Robotics from the New York University Tandon School of Engineering. I graduated as the Best Graduating Student in Mechatronics Engineering from Afe Babalola University, Nigeria, and was recognized among the eight “Best of the Best” Science Graduating Students in Nigeria in 2019 by the Stephen Oluwole Awokoya Foundation. My academic and professional trajectory reflects sustained excellence in engineering innovation and applied systems design.
I am a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a professional distinction recognizing significant professional maturity and performance within the global engineering community. I am also a Fellow of the National Institute of Professional Engineers and Scientists and a member of the National Society of Black Engineers.
My research contributions include the design and publication of an IoT-based fetal heart rate monitoring system, published in Springer Nature’s Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems. This work advances remote maternal health monitoring by integrating wireless transmission, signal conditioning, and real-time medical oversight to support early detection of fetal distress. My research in biomedical and intelligent monitoring systems has been accepted and presented internationally, including in the Africa, North America, Europe, and Asia.
In the transportation sector, I served as a Technical Support Engineer at Siemens Mobility Inc., where I performed a critical role supporting Amtrak’s locomotive systems in a highly regulated, safety-critical environment. I led root cause analyses, validated hardware improvements, and resolved complex electromechanical failures that prevented operational delays and mitigated contractual risk exposure. My work contributed directly to system reliability, regulatory compliance, and operational continuity.
My interdisciplinary expertise includes:
-
Embedded systems design
-
PCB development and hardware validation
-
Machine learning integration in wearable systems
-
Root cause failure analysis (FMEA, 5-Why)
-
Safety-critical systems engineering
-
IoT-enabled medical device architecture
My work sits at the intersection of intelligent systems, medical robotics, and critical infrastructure engineering, with a focus on scalable technological solutions that improve human safety, healthcare access, and operational reliability.
